- How many children and youths does MILK help annually?
MILK has grown from helping about 2,000 children in 2004 to about 16,000 in 2007.
In 2007 MILK reached out to about 5,800 children in Singapore and over 10,000 in the region.
In 2008, MILK hopes to work with more than 20,000 children in Singapore and in the region through our various partners.

0 – 25 years.
- What is the background of the children that MILK supports?
The children come from low-income or troubled families, are physically challenged or caught in a downward cycle that their circumstances may destine them to. MILK supports children who are capable of mainstream education or employment and with a leg up, they are able to lead their lives as contributing members of the society. In the region, the children come from impoverished communities and families.
- How does MILK implement its programmes for the children?
MILK works through a committed group of partners, each specializing in their area of expertise.

- How much does MILK need to raise every year?
To support 40 programmes (23 in Singapore and 17 overseas) in 2008,MILK has raise about $5.1 million.
- What is MILK’s policy on reserves?
MILK does not have any reserves (except in the case of designated funds like Compassion Fund). All funds raised every year go directly to the programmes that support our children.
- What are MILK’s operating expenses?
MILK is run mainly by volunteers with a small team of staff to execute operations. All overheads, manpower expenses and fund-raising costs are sponsored by donors and the committee members. EVERY CENT YOU DONATE goes directly to the programmes for our children.
