The MILK Heart
The whole process took over 3 months from conceptualising the MILK Heart to the actual production. From selecting the best design to weaving each stitch, the team of crafters and helpers came together with the common purpose of sharing their gratitude for your support of the work at MILK.
Amirah, our MILK ITE Scholar (2023/24) and the lead of this project was inspired by the mission of the MILK Fund. She drew inspiration from the themes of hope, unity, and community and also wanted to incorporate the MILK colours. She and the team of students saw crocheting hearts as a tangible way to embody these values and make a difference.
With over 350 hearts to make, Amirah and her volunteers worked passionately and with diligence, putting their heart and soul into every heart. Thank you for sharing in this effort!
