MILK ITE Scholars Chat with MP Edward Chia

Overcoming Challenges, Seizing Opportunities and Serving the Community
A group of MILK ITE scholars had the opportunity to receive their scholarships and meet with Mr Edward Chia Bing Hui (MP for Holland Bukit Timah GRC) at the Zhenghua CC Coffee Shop. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the group was excited to have the opportunity to share their thoughts with the MP. 

MILK ITE Scholars come from diverse backgrounds and have different interests, but they all share a common goal - to successfully complete their education journey. During the meet-up, the scholars shared their passions for various fields, including early childhood education, nursing, and more. They spoke about the challenges they have faced, such as balancing school and personal commitments, navigating the job market, and managing various financial pressures.

MP Edward Chia Bing Hui listened attentively to the scholars' stories and shared his own insights on how the students should seek out and fervently seize opportunities in school and in their careers, even offering to personally help some of the students on their journeys.

He emphasized the importance of paying it forward and serving the community, encouraging the scholars to give back and make a positive impact.

The meet-up was a valuable opportunity for the MILK ITE scholars to learn from MP Edward Chia Bing Hui and each other. They left feeling inspired and motivated to continue pursuing their goals and serving their communities in their own ways.
